Study on enabling Industrial IoT with Wi-Fi 6 published in Q1 journal
The paper “Enabling Industrial Internet of Things With Wi-Fi 6: An Automated Factory Case Study” by Anton Karamyshev, Mikhail Liubogoshchev, Andrey Lyakov, and Evgeny Khorov has been published in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (Q1, IF 11.7), one of the most influential journals dedicated to industrial automation. The paper proposes a solution to improve Wi-Fi performance in industrial robot scenarios. In particular, the authors present a communication scheme that, within the standard mechanisms, more than doubles the system capacity, i.e., the number of robotic devices whose traffic can be served under the stringent quality of service requirements of industrial traffic.
We want to emphasize that this work is going to be a key part of the Ph.D. thesis of Anton Karamyshev, whose dissertation research on Wi-Fi optimization in industrial scenarios was recently awarded a scholarship from the President of the Russian Federation.
We wish the authors further success!
