Kirill Glinsky and Anton Karamyshev win scholarships from the President of the Russian Federation

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has published a list of winners of the competition for a scholarship from the President of the Russian Federation. Among the winners are two MIPT graduate students – employees of the Wireless Networks Lab, IITP RAS, Kirill Glinsky and Anton Karamyshev (scientific supervisor – E. M. Khorov). Kirill and Anton are involved in numerous research projects dedicated to improving the performance of modern communication systems. They actively participate in industrial projects carried out jointly with large manufacturers of modern telecommunications equipment. During their work at IITP RAS, they presented their results at many conferences and published them in leading scientific journals, including those included in the first quartiles.

Kirill Glinsky’s PhD thesis addresses the problem of ensuring high performance of cellular communication systems in ultra-reliable low-latency communication scenarios. For this purpose, new algorithms will be developed for the link and physical layers of cellular networks using advanced machine learning methods.

Anton Karamyshev’s PhD thesis is devoted to improving the performance of wireless networks in industrial scenarios. It is expected that the developed methods will significantly improve the quality of Wi-Fi and 5G networks in robotic industrial scenarios of the future.

We congratulate Kirill and Anton on receiving the scholarship and wish them successful scientific work and brilliant defense of future theses!
