Title: Research and development of methods for performance improvement of wireless local area networks in the millimeter wave band

Speaker: Yaroslav Gagiev, Radio Gigabit LLC

Abstract: This report presents research results on physical layer algorithms and protocols for the second generation of 60 GHz millimeter wave wireless technology – WiGig 2 (IEEE 802.11ay).

Bio: Yaroslav Gagiev received his specialist degree in radiophysics from the Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky in 2017. From 2017 to 2021 he was a Ph.D. student at Nizhny Novgorod State University. From 2013 to 2017 he worked at Intel Corporation, participating in development of WiGig 2 (IEEE 802.11ay) standard. From 2017 he has been working at Radio Gigabit LLC, contributing to design of physical layer protocols and algorithms for wireless communication systems. His interests include statistical signal processing, channel coding theory.
