Title: ITU vision on 6G

Speaker: Artem Krasilov, IITP RAS, HSE, MIPT

Abstract: In November 2023, International Telecommunication Union (ITU) published its vision on the future generation of mobile systems (a.k.a. 6G). In this talk, we will consider the usage scenarios and technical requirements envisioned by ITU for 6G and compare them with 5G ones. We will discuss the new physical, link and network layer technologies that are expected to be the basis for future 6G systems. The tentative schedule for the development of 6G systems from both ITU and 3GPP sides will be also considered.
