Title: Brief Overview on Approaches to Model the Restricted Access Window Mechanism in IEEE 802.11ah Networks.

Speaker: Ruslan Yusupov, IITP RAS, MIPT.

Abstract: Published in 2017 the IEEE 802.11ah standard introduces the Restricted Access Window mechanism. This mechanism allows to limit the contention for the channel caused by a large number of stations, simultaneously contending for the channel, by limiting the number of stations, that are allowed to access the channel, and spreading their transmission attempts over the time interval. We are going to consider approaches to model the Restricted Access Window mechanism, developed by the scientific community.

Bio: Ruslan Yusupov received the M.Sc. degree from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow, Russia, in 2018. Since 2014, he has been working in the Network Protocols Research Laboratory, Institute for Information Transmission Problems, Russian Academy of Sciences. He has co-authored several conference publications and journal papers.
